DENTISTS
Joyce S. Kurdian, DMD

Dr. Joyce Kurdian received her BS in Neuroscience at Trinity College in CT in 1995. While attending
Trinity College, her research was published in a major scientific journal. Dr. Kurdian received her
DMD from the University of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine in 2001, then completed a
one year General Practice Residency at Morristown Memorial Hospital and has been practicing in
Basking Ridge since 2006.

Dentistry combines two of her interests: science and art, especially sculpture and ceramics. In her
spare time, she is also an avid traveler and enjoys reading.

As a member of the ADA at the national, state, and local levels, Dr. Kurdian attends continuing
education to stay abreast of the most current techniques, and participates in the local Tricounty
Study Club. Dr. Kurdian has also attended specialized training at the Spear Center in Arizona on
CAD-CAM CEREC techniques (single-visit crowns).

Dr. Kurdian also serves on the Board of The Armenian American Healthcare Professionals
Organization (AAHPO), and leads a yearly medical mission providing dentistry to those in need in
Armenia each summer.

Allison Cross, DMD

Dr. Allison Cross grew up in Falmouth, MA on picturesque Cape Cod, or “the Cape” as she
affectionately refers to it (just ask her to show you her “arm map”). She began her journey into
dentistry in 2007 as a dental hygienist, graduating from the Fones School of Dental Hygiene at
the University of Bridgeport. Inspired to broaden her abilities to care for her patients she was
driven to pursue her dental degree. She returned to school while continuing to work as a hygienist,
receiving a BS degree in Biology from Ramapo College of New Jersey and her DMD degree from the
Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. She then completed a one year General Practice Residency at
Mountainside Hospital. There she received extensive training in general dentistry while becoming
proficient at handling dental emergencies, treating patients in the operating room, and providing
dental treatment to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Although Dr. Cross has lived in NJ for quite some time, she hasn’t forgotten her roots. She loves her
visits home to her family, summertime Cape Cod Baseball League games and homemade ice cream.

Dr. Cross will tell you that her foundation in dental hygiene taught her to treat the whole patient, not
just teeth. She recognizes that behind every procedure is a person--a life--and her goal is to make
that life just a little happier and a little healthier.
