DENTAL TREATMENTS

Fillings/ Restorations. Our tooth-colored resin fillings are not only beautiful, but also add strength
to weakened teeth. These fillings replace silver amalgams and are a beautiful way to restore a tooth
once the cavity is removed. These restorations are esthetically pleasing and very strong, thanks to
new bonding technologies.

Crowns. Also known as “caps,” dental crowns cover the visible part of a tooth for both oral health
and aesthetic purposes. For teeth damaged by decay or trauma, dental crowns offer much needed
structural support, restoring strength to the teeth. Custom made ceramic crowns are also perfect for
covering discolored and chipped teeth, providing an effective cosmetic treatment at the same time.

Dental Implants. Dental implants are an ideal method to replace missing teeth as they provide a
foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. The person who has
lost teeth regains the ability to eat virtually anything and can smile with confidence. The implants
are tiny titanium posts placed into the jawbone where teeth are missing. Your bone fuses with the
titanium, creating a strong foundation for the artificial teeth. In addition, implants can help preserve
facial structure, preventing the bone deterioration that occurs when teeth are missing. Please see our
Advanced Technology page for more information.

Bridges. One of the most effective methods to replace missing teeth is a fixed dental
bridge. Dental bridges are strong, stable, and aesthetically pleasing treatments that can be used
to fill the gaps in your smile. Whether it is one, or multiple missing teeth, bridges offer natural
looking replacements that are both durable and cosmetic.

Dental Sealants. Highly effective in preventing decay on the biting surfaces of your children’s
permanent molars, sealants are a simple procedure in which a tooth-colored “coating” is painted
onto the surface of the tooth. This effectively “seals” the deep grooves, acting as a barrier, protecting
enamel from plaque and acids.

Gum Disease. Gum is also known as periodontal disease is a leading cause of tooth loss. It is
a silent, chronic, painless bacterial infection that often goes undetected or ignored until severe gum
and bone destruction has occurred. Left untreated, gum disease can cause tooth loss. Periodontal
diseases are infections of the gums, which gradually destroy the support of your natural teeth. There
are numerous disease entities requiring different treatment approaches. Dental plaque is the primary
cause of gum disease in genetically susceptible individuals. Daily brushing and flossing may help
prevent most periodontal conditions.

Non-Surgical Root Canal. What is a root canal? A root canal is one of the most common dental
procedures and can save your natural teeth and prevent the need for dental implants or bridges. A
root canal is indicated if you have an infection or damage to the pulp (nerve) of your tooth. Infection
of the pulp can be caused by trauma, deep decay or cracks. Symptoms of the infection can include:
abscess, pain to temperature or biting and also sometimes be identified on dental x-rays even with
no symptoms or pain. This injured pulp is removed and the root canal system is thoroughly cleaned
and sealed.

Porcelain Veneers. Customized to create the smile you desire, porcelain veneers are an option
to create beautiful smiles. They are ceramic shells that are bonded to the surface of your teeth to
improve color, shape, size and length, and can have a remarkable impact on transforming your smile.
With the proper maintenance, veneers can give you the smile you desire for many years.

Teeth Whitening. Having a beautiful bright smile may be even easier than you think. Many people
achieve the look they’ve been dreaming of with our simple “bleaching” procedure. We offer two ways
to whiten your teeth: take-home trays or in-office Zoom! procedure.
